Sharing and visibility

Decks and collections have two methods to allow you to control who can see them. These are...

Visibility: Controls whether it can be found. A public deck or collection turns up in search, shows on your profile, and can be linked to anybody. A private one cannot be found at all.

Sharing: Allows a person to be given direct access, and it works regardless of visibility. A private deck shared with two friends stays invisible to everyone else. Sharing does not make something public, and making something public is not the same as sharing it.

Sharing with a person

The Share action on a deck (R) or a collection opens the access dialog. You pick who, and whether they get read or write.

Read access means they see it as it stands, without the controls to change it. Write access means they can edit it, so on a collection that includes adding and editing items, and on a deck it includes the cards themselves.

The people who follow you can be picked from a list rather than typed out, which is a good reason to make sure your playgroup is following you.

You can revoke access at any time from the same dialog. The person on the other end can also walk away themselves with Remove, which gives up their own access without touching anything of yours.
