Decks

Notes, matchup guides, and matches

Write up how a deck plays, plan for specific heroes, and log the games you played.

In addition to adding cards to your deck, you can also add your build reasoning and play strategies! Decks in Pitchstack allow you to write notes, matchup guides, and record your matches.

Notes

Notes are high level information you want to record about the deck. This can really be anything. Notes are written using Pitchstack markdown, which allows you to dynamically link to resources on Pitchstack (cards, sets, users, etc) and render images for cards.

Matchup guides

While notes can be for anything, matchup guides are narrowly focused on allowing you to call out your specific strategies in various matchups.

Matchup guides are written against "targets", which can be specific heroes, classes, or archetypes. These guides allow you to indicate what cards you should bring in and swap out, what deck size you should target, and provide specific notes. As with the general notes section, text here is written using Pitchstack markdown, so you can dynamically render resources in.

Matches

Matches are the games you actually played. Logging one records the result and the play order, along with the opponent's hero. Opponents can be manually typed or be other Pitchstack users. You may also record where the game was, what event it was a part of, and any notes you want to keep.

A match is recorded against the version of the deck you were looking at, so results stay attached to the build that earned them.
