Building your collection
How to add and update cards in your collection.
Once you have made a collection, everything you do with it comes down to getting cards into it and keeping them up to date.
Adding cards
After you've made a collection you need to put things in it! When on a collections page, Add cards (A) opens a search over the whole card pool. The search syntax here is the same used for other search functions on the website, so see searching for cards.
To add many cards at once — a whole set, or a pasted list of set printing ids — use Import (I) instead. See importing cards in bulk.
Updating cards
To update a card, you can simply click it from the view. Opening this will allow you to modify anything about the entry; quantity, condition, etc. If you need to delete an item, you can simply hit the Delete button in the bottom left.
Transferring
If you've moved a card from one place to another in real life and want to track that change in Pitchstack, you can simply Transfer the item rather than deleting it and adding elsewhere. When clicking on an item, you'll see a Transfer button. On clicking this, you can choose the destination where you'd like to move this card.
History
All actions you take against a collection are recorded in its history. This allows you to track all the items you've added and removed over time. You can view the full list from the History tab on the page.
Filling in missing prices
If a binder has items with no acquired price, the website will offer to work them out from price history, proposing a value per card based on the date you added it. Nothing gets written until you approve it, and you can edit or exclude any row first. Prices you set yourself are never touched.
Note: this repair runs on the website. The app shows acquired values and lets you set them by hand.
You can find any remaining gaps at any time with the Acquired price → Missing filter. See Searching and filtering a collection.
