Getting started
Creating an account
How to get your account setup on Pitchstack
You can sign up from Register — in the navigation menu on the website, or from the sign-in prompt in the app — or go straight there.
All accounts must be associated with an email address. To authenticate, you have 3 different options; Discord, Passkeys, or a password.
Discord: You can register with Discord by using the Continue with Discord button. This will create your account using your Discord email address. In future, signing in will take you through Discord to access your account.
Passkeys: You can register your account with a Passkey. If you aren't familiar, this is a "secret" secured by your computer. What manages your keys depends on your system, but typically this will allow you to authenticate with your computer or password manager, and sign in with a single button click.
Password: You can create your account with a password. This is the least recommended option, as passwords are prone to numerous issues.
Verifying your email
Whichever route you take, Pitchstack sends a verification email. Until you confirm it, your account works but shows as unverified in Settings → Security. If needed, you can resend the message from there.
Changing your email later follows the same pattern: the new address only takes effect once you confirm it from the message sent to it, so a typo cannot lock you out. See Account and security.
