Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Pitchstack collects, how public content works, how we use and share data, and what rights and choices may be available to users.
Scope and Controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Awlsring LLC collects, uses, shares, and stores personal information when you use Pitchstack and related websites, applications, and features that link to this policy.
Pitchstack is operated by Awlsring LLC, based in Seattle, Washington, USA. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@pitchstack.gg.
Information You Provide
We collect information you choose to give us directly, including the following:
- Account information such as your email address, password, and sign-in details.
- Third-party sign-in data from providers you choose to use, such as Discord account identifiers and basic profile information made available to us by that provider.
- Profile information such as username, display name, avatar, biography, pronouns, location, Gem ID, and linked social profiles.
- Content you create or upload such as decks, collections, group details, notes, tags, descriptions, match logs, and other materials you submit through the service.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and legal or privacy inquiries.
Some information is optional. If you do not provide information needed to create or maintain an account, authenticate, or use a particular feature, we may not be able to provide that part of the service.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use Pitchstack, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages and features used, timestamps, referrers, errors, and service logs.
Pitchstack also records certain in-product activity, such as view, impression, click, and similar engagement events, to operate the service, understand usage, detect abuse, and improve product decisions.
Browser Storage and Similar Technologies
Pitchstack uses browser storage and similar client-side technologies, including localStorage, to keep you signed in, remember preferences, store cached product state, preserve UI settings, and queue certain activity or sync events.
Your browser may allow you to clear or block some of this storage. Doing so can sign you out, reset settings, or limit parts of the service.
Optional Location Information
Some features may let you add location information to your content, such as match logs. You may provide a location manually.
If you choose to use browser location features, Pitchstack may receive precise location coordinates from your device and may convert them into a human-readable place label. We do not collect precise device location unless you choose to grant that permission and use that feature.
Public Content and Visibility
Pitchstack is built around public sharing. Profiles, decks, and collections are public by default. Groups may also be public depending on how they are configured.
Information you include in public profiles or public content may be visible to other users, search engines, and the public web, and may be copied, captured, or reshared by others.
Please avoid posting sensitive personal information in public fields or public content unless you are comfortable making it public.
How We Use Information
- Provide, authenticate, maintain, and secure the service.
- Create and manage your account, profile, decks, collections, groups, and related public pages.
- Store, display, and moderate user-submitted content.
- Remember preferences, sync account state, and improve usability.
- Measure feature usage, troubleshoot issues, detect abuse, and improve the service.
- Respond to support requests, legal notices, and privacy requests.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect Pitchstack, our users, and third parties.
Legal Bases for Processing
If data protection laws such as the GDPR apply to your use of Pitchstack, we generally rely on the following legal bases, depending on the context:
- Performance of a contract or steps at your request to provide your account and the service you use.
- Legitimate interests, such as operating the service, securing the platform, preventing abuse, understanding product usage, improving features, moderating content, and protecting our business and users.
- Consent, where you choose to grant it, such as when you allow optional device permissions or where consent is otherwise required by law.
- Compliance with legal obligations and protection of legal rights.
International Processing and Transfers
Pitchstack's primary service infrastructure is currently hosted in Europe. However, Awlsring LLC is based in the United States, and we or our service providers may access, process, or support data from the United States and other countries where we or they operate.
As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism for cross-border processing, we will rely on a recognized lawful mechanism for that transfer.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Pitchstack, maintain your account, provide public features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.
- Account and profile data generally remain until you delete them, ask us to remove them, or we close the account.
- Public content may remain visible until it is removed, and backups or cached copies may persist for a limited time afterward.
- Technical logs, security records, and abuse-prevention records may be retained for shorter or longer periods depending on the purpose and risk involved.
Your Choices and Rights
You can update certain profile information inside Pitchstack. You can also control optional browser permissions, clear local browser storage, or stop using the service at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability relating to your personal information. If we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for future processing.
If we rely on legitimate interests for processing, you may have the right to object to that processing in some circumstances.
To make a privacy-related request, email contact@pitchstack.gg. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection or consumer-protection regulator.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission, storage, or security control is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Pitchstack is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact contact@pitchstack.gg and we will review the situation and delete the information as appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date shown on this page.
Your continued use of Pitchstack after the updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy will apply going forward.
